iPhone 13: The Newton Cut
A spec spot that hands gravity back to Isaac Newton, animated in Toon Boom Harmony 21.
Role
Concept, animation and motion design.
The brief
A launch-week spec spot, made for the sake of the idea: if the phone defies gravity, then gravity's inventor is the person to complain about it.
Approach
The joke has to land in under a second, so the spot is built as a single gag with a clean setup and a clean payoff, no voice-over, no extra beats.
It is composed like a product film: one clean graphic idea, a restrained palette, and timing borrowed from the keynote rather than from a cartoon.
